I wanted to let parents know and remind the YW about the awesome opportunity we were given in church today. The Bishop has given each of the youth a Preach My Gospel manual. He has challenged the youth to start reading it, studying it, and to make notes of things we are learning. Today in YW we heard some great "Missionary Moments" and by studying the gospel more, we will be that much more prepared to share the gospel with friends. I personally think this is a great idea and am excited to see the results!

Hope you all have a great last week of school and enjoy your Spring Break!

**Fireside and Dance Info

Hello Young Women and Parents! Here is the e-mail we receieved today about a fireside going on TOMORROW! It's short notice, but it looks fun! Here is the information from the e-mail:

The Richmond Stake is having our 2011 Youth Conference in an earlier and somewhat compressed format, to take place the last weekend of February. We are opening up the church-dress fireside and dance on Saturday 26 Feb. (fireside is 6:45-7:45 pm and dance is 7:45-10:45 pm) to youth ages 14-17 of nearby stakes. We apologize for the short-notice but feel there may be some within your stakes who could benefit from attending the fireside (and optional dance afterwards). Although we don’t have a separate flyer just for this segment of our Youth Conference, here are the details:

The 6:45-7:45 pm fireside speaker is Justin Su’a from the Seminaries and Institute “Best of EFY” faculty, and he will be speaking on Overcoming Spiritual Slumps.
Note that the dance which immediately follows is church dress.

If your youth would like to stay for the 7:45- 10:45 pm dance:
We don’t want this to be considered a formal assigned dance that your stake and ward leaders should feel obligated to attend; but we are asking that your ward leaders be responsible to ensure that any youth who come from your stake also come with a chaperone who knows them and stays the entire time.
We are offering the dance to those who first come to the fireside and prefer not to have youth skip the fireside but still come to the dance.

To emphasize, here are dress standards for a “church-dress” dance:
Sunday Best – You may wear only the clothing you would wear to church.
Always dress in modest clothing. NO TANK TOPS, SLEEVELESS SHIRTS/BLOUSES, SHORTS, SHORT SKIRTS/DRESSES, T-SHIRTS, BARE MIDRIFFS, EARRINGS FOR BOYS, VISIBLE PIERCINGS EXCEPT ONE PAIR OF EARRINGS FOR GIRLS, VISIBLE TATTOOS, LOW NECKLINES.
